I also tested it, and a small hub is noticeable when rotating the drill bit. So just rotating and sharpening the drill bit doesn't work. The cutting edge is always ground deeper than the drill bit's cutting surface/support surface itself, meaning it's ground dull. Then I might as well do it by hand. Without grinding, drills don't drill :D
