Description

The rear doors of the Tesla Model X allow water inside when it rains. This is not an issue on its own, but the way the door is designed, a lot of water hits the back of the speakers. The speaker cones are not waterproof, and so this then leaks inside the car. The speakers themselves also get moldy.

This “speaker hat” can be siliconed into the FWD, and then the speaker screwed in as normal. The two mounting lugs at the top of the speaker will need to be cut off first.

This will need to be printed in TPU so it can flex around structures inside the door. It's a tight fit as theres little clearance between the speaker and the door surround.

Please note the photo used is of a prototype, unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the final version before siliconing it inside the car door.
