Description

This design is for the Pixel Watch 4
For the Pixel Watch 1, check this model.

For the Pixel Watch 2 & 3, check this model.

No more messy tangled cable when traveling with your Pixel Watch!
Easily unwind the cable when you need to charge, and wind it back to store it.

This is specifically designed for the official Google Pixel Watch 4 charger, I have not tested it with any 3rd party option. If you do, please let me know if it fits 😉

⚠️ This is a print in place design, do not print the core and the ring separately to try and assemble them afterwards.

Tolerance should allow for the two parts to spin, though it may need a bit of force to break the two pieces apart (I didn't need to, but I've had the feedback on previous models). If I get too many people with this issue, I'll upload a version with looser tolerances.

Usage recommandations : when winding the cable, place your thumb on it to keep some tension inside, this will help with the cable coiling properly, and unwinding later on.

Printed fine, but the part won't spin at all. Even after pushing hard

Hi @AKN05816 I'm sorry to read this. If you weren't already, you could try pushing hard downwards on the centerpiece while holding the outer ring (easier than twisting). Another thing might be checking your first layer height or extrusion width (assuming the first layer is where the two pieces get stuck). 3rd option, I'll also DM you a version with wider tolerances for you to try. If it works, I'll post it as a variant profile

Great model! I had your older model for my Pixel Watch 2 and this one seems even nicer! I went on a work trip right after getting my Pixel Watch 4 and it was not the same without one of your wind up chargers. As someone who travels quite a bit, I really appreciate all your great designs!

I've printed every Pixel watch cable winder that you've done Félix and they all come out perfectly. Thank you so much for continuing to design these, game changer!

Thank you @DanSkarr ! I'm glad to know you like them so much :-) Hopefully Google won't change the charger design yet again, but if they do I'll make a new version for it ˆˆ

Awesome design! Been a great addition to my travel bag this year so far. Thank you! My daily band is the SPIGEN RUGGED ARMOR and they have their own proprietary dock insert for the charging cable. If you were to design one for that, it would be great!

Thanks @Kronos_Tako , glad you like it! Unfortunately I it's hard to design for such a charger not having it on hand myself.. Also, is it me or i'ts much bigger than the original charger (which seems to fit inside it) ?

GREAT Print super impressed! Material: PLA Settings: Default (.12 layer height) + Variable Layer Height Ironing: Top surfaces @ 60 mm/s speed / 20% flow Note: If it doesn’t spin right away, a quick tap on a hard surface will break it free. I’ve printed two so far and they both spin perfectly after a light "counter-tap" to the base. Highly recommended!

Turned out great! I used variable layer height and default quality preset. No tolerance issues and functioned right off the printer.

Printed perfectly. I used black PLA for this. The support was a little tricky, but it was possible to remove it. The dock fits perfectly into the holder, clicks right in, and sits firmly.
