Replacement Button for HDX Weed Killer Sprayer Valve

I'm excited to share a 3D-printed replacement button I designed for the valve on the common HDX weed killer pump sprayer (the type with the handle and wand).

The original button on my sprayer broke off and was lost, rendering the spray function useless (unless you have steel thumbs). This part is designed to fit perfectly onto the rectangular slot on the valve, restoring full function to the sprayer.

• Design Tool: Created using Onshape CAD software.
• Key Feature: Integrated Hinge/Pivot Pin
  • This design includes a crucial integrated pin that acts as the hinge point or pivot for the lever-style button.
  • The lever rotates around this pin, allowing the button to be depressed to activate the spray.
• Print Recommendation: Print in a durable, weather-resistant material like PETG or ABS to stand up to garden chemicals and UV light.
• Print Orientation: Print on its side or in an orientation that maximizes the strength of the lever section.
