Iphone 17 pro max 67mm ND Filter Adapter and plate

I loved this design but the magnet setup in the original model didn’t play nicely with my print settings, so I redesigned the parts to use smaller magnets. This remix is functionally the same, just updated for easier assembly with smaller magnets.

What’s changed in this remix

• Reworked to use 8mm x 2mm magnets instead of the original size
• Geometry adjusted so the magnets seat and grip better at that size
• Intended for easier print/fit on typical hobby FDM printers

Assembly / Usage

You can generally follow the same assembly process as the original model:

1. You’ll need a total of 10 magnets, size 8mm x 2mm.
2. Glue magnets into each of the 5 magnet pockets on:
   • the base plate
   • the filter ring
3. Mount the base plate to your phone’s camera plateau using thin double-sided tape.
4. The filter ring then snaps on magnetically to the base plate.

Printing notes

• The filter ring has fine threading for the filter, so print it with a small layer height for clean threads.
• In your slicer, make sure “Detect Thin Walls” (or equivalent) is enabled so the threads and walls generate properly.
