Hanging Cap Rack (Extendable with Dovetail joints)
Print Profile(2)

Description
I loved @Tedoyan's cap rack design, as it does not damage the brims like others did. It's suitable for both adjustable and fitted hats.
My only need was that i wanted it to hang and not mount on the wall…. hence the remix, so I added a hook to the top piece. While I was tweaking them, i decided to fill in the eye hook holes in the back, since they were no longer needed. Finally, I adjusted the dovetail for better alignment and hid them from front view
The cap rack is fully extendable by printing more middle sections and adding them. I have not done more than the default 3 sections, since i don't have room for them to hang lower. But if anyone tries more, please leave a comment with how many are suitable, so others know.
The top portion prints best on its side, as that will limit the amount of supports. in this orientation, it only needs minimal support for the female dovetail section. The middle and bottom lay flat on their back. The bottom needs no support, but I encourage supports on the middle for the female dovetail.
Assembly is simple… just a dab of glue in the female dovetail, insert the male dovetail, then clamp tight until set.
The printed versions in the photos were printed in Elegoo PLA+ Black, on an A1 using a textured PEI plate. I used 0.4mm nozzle, with a 0.2mm layer height. For infill i used 15% grid. Obviously feel free to tailor these settings to your needs.
Please let me know if you have any questions or design ideas. Happy printing!
