Aztec Stone Effigy
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is a remix of an Aztec stone effigy made available on Sketchfab by the Bonn Center for Digital Humanities under CCA license.
From their description:
Cast of Aztec stone effigy (Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli)l sculpture in the Bonn Collection of the Americas at the University of Bonn (Inv. 3400)
The Jade green figurine is the plaster cast of an old mexican greenstone figure with red inlays and is an image of the god Xólotl. The sculpture shows a compact skeleton figure with a flattened backside, dressed with pubic bandage and sandals, bracelets and ear plugs. The whole figure is covered with glyphs and symbols. The original probably served as an altarpiece. The original originates from Mexico and belongs to the Atzekian culture. The Replica was made in 1960 by the Linden-Museum Stuttgart and then bought by the Seminar für Völkerkunde Bonn; the original was taken over from the Kunstkammer Württemberg-Neuenstadt by the Lindenmuseum between 1716 and 1728.
My changes:
I used the included texture maps to increase the model detail in Blender. I made 2 versions--one with the bottom cut and one with the bottom intact since there are designs on the bottom of the sculpture.
Printing:
The 3mf contains 2 versions: 1 that has a cut bottom and the other with the bottom designs intact, printed at an angle. Model is 168 mm tall.
- 0.16 mm layer, 2 walls, 8% gyroid infill
- tree supports at 30, initial layer expansion = 5 (really only needed for the angled version)
- top interface layers = 2
- top interface spacing = 0
- top z distance = 0.16
I was out of light green PLA so I used R3D matte terracotta PLA.
Generic 3mf on Printables.
