Description

“Lucky” Saint Patricks Day Mandala. Easy 4 color print. Layered multicolor print so there is little waste. Celebrate with this wall hanging for a little bit of the luck of the Irish.

The top layers didn't come out correctly. I've used this filament on a bunch of different items before this and after, so I dont think it is a filament issue.

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry it didn't turn out well for you. Did you use the included print profile with no changes? It printed well for me with Overture filament. There is the possibility the additional top layers for the solid supports is causing over extruding. I will reprint again with different filaments to see how it turns out and tweak the profile if necessary.

Attn Non-AMS printers: I started with Dark Green and added pauses at Layers 7 (Black), 13 (Dark Green), 19 (Spring Green), 24 (Dark Green), 31 (Yellow), and 41(Dark Green). A further pause and color switch at layer 37 would see the letters a different color than the outline. My pause at layer 7 was not correct (I wanted the bottom visible layer to be black, but that didn't turn out--the black was higher a higher layer than I anticipated. Starting with black would have had the effect I wanted (I think; please report back). My suggestion: Start with your background color Pause at layer 13 for back most clovers Pause at layer 19 for middle clovers Pause at layer 24 for front clovers Pause at layer 31 for letter outline Pause at layer 37 for letters and big clover inline Pause at layer 41 for foreground color There is some wiggle-room (some of my layers are off) but it will get the head-on effect. A good design, but the 'hidden' supports for the stem bother me and my first one failed.
