Kenner AT-AT Chin Guns
Print Profile(1)

Description
Recently got myself the Kenner AT-AT which I wanted to have since it came out over 40 years ago.
As for most of these vintage toys, some sensitive parts are missing.
With the AT-AT this will most likely be the Chin Guns.
The original are made of clear plastic so they light up completely.
I made a different adaptation and used a clear core and a non transparent sleeve.
This makes the lighting effect a lot more realistic.
I did however not use the original shape (from the movie) of the barrel as the lighting effect would be way less than it is now.
The printprofile has the Gun Cores, Barrels and a Clip.
The Cores can best be printed in clear transparent. 100% infill.
The Barrels and Clip Light Grey
I used PETG as is it a lot stronger than PLA
With my AT-AT one of the small clips for holding the barrel was missing, so I included one in the print.
Use a drop of superglue to fix this part.
After printing the cores you'll need to remove some of the support using a knife.
Otherwise the barrels will not fit.
The barrels should be a tight fit over the core and need not to be glued.
Make sure that the cores have 2mm space from the end of the barrel.
This makes the lighting effect better and this also needs to be done to be able to fit the guns in the clips.
May the Force be with you.
