Description

The Historic Series

The Ohme Chess Set was designed by Herman Ohme in 1953 and patented in 1954. In 1960, it was licensed for production by Pleasantime Industries.

Recommend Chessboard Pairing:

  • ≈ 1.5" squares: Default size.
  • ≈ 1.75" squares: Increase scale to 110.00
  • ≈ 2" squares: Increase scale to 125.00
  • ≈ 2.25" squares: Increase scale to 140.00

Instructions:

  • No fuss print. Print and play!
  • I recommend matte filaments, aesthetically.
  • Use concentric surface pattern for a better finish.

Two printer profiles: Solid Base and Hollow Base

  • The solid base profile prints pieces with solid bottoms. Just print and play!
  • The hollow base profile adds a cavity to the bottom so that you can add extra weight. I recommend adding sand, dirt, steel bb pellets, or lead weights and cover in glue, epoxy, or wood filler. Then add green felt for a nice, clean look.
