This is a Full-Sized Dumbbell Set

Custom Designed with Over-Sized Comfort Fit, Hex Grip Handles.  These have a quality look and feel and would be ideal for Keep Fit and Warming Up

How does it work?

These can be printed with most filament types, including  PLA & PETG

Print them in the horizontal plane and ensure that supports are used for the handle (see photo)

What's included in the download?

1 x smaller sized dumbbell

1 x larger sized dumbbell

1 x Snap-Fit Hole Cover

1 x Funnel

Tips for filling

• To provide the weight, they can be filled with ‘Kiln Dried Soft Sand’ bonded together with diluted PVA Glue

• Extra weight can be achieved by mixing in stone gravel, or metal nuts and bolts into the sand

• Avoid using fast curing cement such as postcrete - the mixture tends to shrink over time and will eventually crack the casings
   

• Use 1 part PVA to 3 parts water - firstly, coat the inside of the dumbbell with the diluted PVA, swish it into all of the corners 
  “don't put the cap on whilst doing this, the cap is designed to snap fit into place only once to ensure a secure and tight fit when filled”
   

• Using the included Funnel, pour in the Sand, tap, shake and vibrate the sand so that it fills up to just below the hole

• Pour in more of the diluted PVA. Do this slowly and until the liquid disappears into the sand, top up occasionally with more sand & glue 

• When you are happy that its filled, snap fit on the cap - apply firm pressure until it clips into place

Approximate weights when filled with just Kiln Dried Soft Sand & Diluted PVA Glue:

The Small Dumbbell = 1.2kg (2.6lb)

The Large Dumbbell  = 2.3kg (5lb)
