Description

Boost Me (for free)

This system is designed to route a 6-inch duct hose under a garage door while still allowing the door to close completely and sit flush with the floor. It maintains clearance for the garage door’s laser safety beam and provides an effective way to vent fumes from your workspace.

You can connect a second duct section to extend the exhaust farther away from the garage, or use just one of the duct parts to vent directly out through the slot under the door.

To ensure a tight seal, you’ll need to glue the included triangular side pieces in place. These help close the small gaps between the edge of the vent, the door seal, and the ground for a more secure and efficient fit.

ADAPTER!!!

I made a parametric adapter you can find here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2560392-adapter-for-my-exhaust-system

Boosted! Literally saved me the time of designing a 6in version (lots of 4 in versions around). I'll print it this weekend, installing a portable AC in my garage (AZ) and wanted a temporary setup solution that was low profile

Is there any way to make one with a wider rectangle exhaust part? Like double? My portable ac is choking because it can’t exhaust fast enough.

I can work on that. Do you need the middle part to be larger as a whole or just the smaller section in the middle of it?

Hey, I want to print this for my new AC which has two 5.9 inch hoses (exhaust / intake). I'm measuring the inner hole in bambu studio and it's saying it's 130mm which is 5.11 inches. Did I do something incorrectly?

the ducting goes over the outside so it is a bit under sized so you can use a ring clamp to hold it on. I have used it with a 6 inch duct and it worked well. you could try cutting the ring off and testing the fit. if I need to make any changes for you I can.

printed it. and the hoses fit perfectly. sadly the opening is not big enough for my ac to expel heat fast enough. would there be any way to make a box that fits the cone on one side but has a bigger / longer opening on the other to maximize airflow?

what is hitting each other? the parts are separated on 3 plates and the 1 plate with 3 things on it are all separate anyway. unless you changed things nothing is touching.

On plate 2 one of the wedge pieces printed inside the center vent. I did not change any settings just hit print from my phone.

I would try again or open it on a computer first maybe. I just opened the files on my computer and nothing is touching. The preview on the app does not show them touching either.

Could you make a 4 inch hole version?

uploaded as a profile. May want to print a test of the ring to be sure it fits but it is slightly undersized. 4 inch hole is 101.6mm and this is 101mm. If it works and you have any spare boosts I would appreciate it!

this is awesome! has anyone used this with your portable AC and had luck? I want to try this but my only concern is if it’s enough of an opening to allow AC to exhaust well without choking?

I had someone else in the comments use it for this. I ended up uploading a separate file to split one pipe into 2 of these to help avoid not having enough air flow. all the details should be in the comments somewhere.
