Hey there! :)

As you can probably tell, NeoShell Drop is the baby of an old-school pair of teardrop dangling earrings with alien culture. For this design, I experimented with complex and futuristic forms that still feel elegant and organic, like pearl and shell jewelry.

Also, I quite like the fact that these are only manufacturable through 3D printing. :D

Print of these babies is very simple:

  • Reduce the layer height to 0.12 mm.
  • Increase walls to 3 and reduce the infill to about 5 or 10%.
  • Enable the support generation (I recommend using Tree supports).
  • Enable the “outer brim” option.

Note:

  • This pair prints smoothly without the need for any support inside the earrings, and the outer supports are only necessary for the balance of the pieces while printing. So if your slicer suggested a weird branch that goes inside (like this picture), use the support blocking tools to prohibit supports from being generated inside.

Finally, attach them to a pair of earring hoops and enjoy! ✨

Happy printing! :)🥂
