Description

I have created my own custom Garmin Varia mount designed specifically for the Cube Litening Aeropro C:68X seatpost.

This version is extremely lightweight and features an embedded Cube logo. It was inspired by other designs but optimized for both strength and clean aesthetics and designed from scratch.

🧰 Special Features

  • Two-piece design
    • A C-shaped clamp wraps around the seatpost.
    • A pusher element compresses and locks it firmly in place.
  • Integrated Garmin quad-lock
    • The quad-lock is fully embedded in the print for maximum rigidity and a clean look.
    • This eliminates extra parts and makes the whole mount sturdier.
  • Optional insert pusher
    • If you already have a molded plastic Garmin quad-lock, you can reuse it.
    • Simply place it in a sandwich with the insert pusher, and it fits perfectly.

🔩 Hardware

  • 2x M3 nut (inserted mid-print)
  • 2x flat head screw M3 × 0.5 mm × 6 mm
  • Pause the print at the marked layer to insert the M3 nut. I prefer over heat inserted nut since it ensures a solid thread that will not strip and makes assembly clean and precise.

🖨️ Printing Tips

  • Recommended filament: Carbon-fiber PLA (or standard PLA).
I personally love the finish of carbon fiber PLA — it looks premium and is very strong.
  • Print with supports only where needed.
⚠️ Important: Do not place supports in the nut slot. Otherwise, it will be impossible to insert the nut properly.
  • Standard layer height (0.2 mm) works well.
  • A small pause for nut insertion is essential.
