Hi, I have now used the design for a project. There are two minor issues. The locating slots on the underside seem to be misaligned. You can use it but need to remove about 1.5mm off the end of the rear guide so it fits into the recess of the other piece. The other issue is on the front. You need to cut a slot into the front/lower where the guard fits into the AR handguard cap, you can see where the locating lugs sit on the underside.

Hi, thanks for your advice, could you send me an image wit the critical points? If you could provide any measurements I will be pleased.

The guide is offset by 2mm from the locating hole on the other side. For the slot on the front, I just made to be 4mm deep from the front endge and 4mm in Height from the bottom of the handguard l (5mm if you take the measurement from the guide rail on the bottom) as depending on which one is on top has to contend with more of the locating guide on the collar.

Hi, this is not a handguard for a M4A1. It is for the earlier XM-177/CAR-15. The M4A1 Handguard should have an additional hole and is also taller in profile

Oh I understand, should I modify the name of the file or the file? Do you want the STEP format to modify it?

Just the name, I don't have the skills yet to build other than using TinkerCAD at present. Your work is very good. The model you have made matches my existing XM-177 handguards :)
