Milanese Keychain Strap

Just like real Milanese bracelets, this design uses interwoven spirals that are connected at the ends to create a flexible joint.

For my first try, I printed it with a brim because I was worried the small attachment points wouldn’t provide enough bed adhesion. In hindsight, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a pain to remove afterward. Instead, just make sure your print bed is really clean and that the material adheres well.

I used PLA with a 0.2 mm layer height, and it printed in about 2 hours.

It’s fun to play around with and inspect, though I’m not sure it has any real practical use.
