P2S AMS Buffer PTFE Tube Guide ⧸ Super Straight

Description
One thing that bothered me was how the PTFE tube from the AMS Buffer to the printhead rubs against the metal edge of the buffer housing. That’s something I definitely don’t want.
![]() Designed as part of my ongoing collection of practical Bambu Lab upgrades. Each model is conceived, printed, and endurance-tested on my own machines, refined through dozens of iterations to match the printer’s true mechanical behavior. Precision isn't assumed here, it’s verified layer by layer.

So I designed this model to keep the tube perfectly aligned and free from contact with the metal parts. PTFE sliding inside PETG or PLA will last practically forever. The friction is extremely low, and there’s virtually no wear, perfect for continuous motion paths like this.
Mounting is simple, you’ll need two M3×8 screws. You can either order them using the link below or reuse the ones from the filament holder if you don’t use it.
Or slide it onto a mounting rail or use the unused Spool Holder Base (more Spool Holder Bases, see my model #18), done.
And yes, the unused threads of the P2S are indeed very poorly cut M3 threads. I measured the original screws and compared them with my M3 screws according to DIN 13-1. They are absolutely identical. Even the original screws from the existing spool holder base do not fit properly into the holes intended for these screws. Even if it hurts, take an M3 screw and force it into the hole. Then unscrew it again, throw it away and take a new screw. Once the threads have been "deflowered", they can be used with the original screws and M3 screws as smooth as butter.
And remember: PTFE tubes are wear parts. Good guidance means they last longer, but they won’t last forever.
Part #15 in my P2Series Design Journey.
