Description
🧭 Compass of Destiny – Disney Cruise Ship Series
“True enough, this compass does not point north… but we’re not trying to find north, are we?” — Captain Jack Sparrow
Inspired by Jack Sparrow’s legendary compass that points not north, but to what the heart truly desires, this piece captures that same sense of adventure and wonder. Just like the myth, the Compass of Destiny doesn’t point north — it points wherever your heart desires.
Created to commemorate the inaugural voyage of the Disney Destiny, this model brings a touch of fantasy to reality — a small treasure that feels as though it could have come straight from a captain’s desk aboard the ship.

⚙️ Print Details
The Compass of Destiny features a rotating base and internal dial, magnetically linked to allow smooth, responsive movement. The rotating mechanism prints as one piece, while the remaining parts are assembled after printing.
🧲 Magnet setup:
Base: 2 × 2×6 mm magnets
Dial: 2 × 1×3 mm magnets
Ensure the polarity is aligned so the magnets in the dial attract those in the base. For consistent results, I recommend printing a pair of polarized magnet pushers — they make alignment and insertion simple and repeatable.
A pause command is included for inserting the magnets mid-print.
🧩 Printing details:
- No supports required
- .4 mm nozzle for the main body
- .2 mm nozzle for the dial and map insert
🎨 Finishing Notes
Included in the raw model files are DXF and DWG map outlines for creating your own designs.
The included map profile depicts the inaugural sailing route of the Disney Destiny.
Creators who design custom maps are encouraged to upload their profiles to this listing so others can print them as well.

A tribute to Pirates of the Caribbean mythology and the spirit of Disney Cruise Line adventure, the Compass of Destiny is an original interpretation of Jack Sparrow’s magical compass — a reminder that not all who wander are lost… some simply follow their hearts.
