Parametric Laser Jig for Round Objects

This Jig was developed to precisely position round objects – e.g., coasters, chips, medals, or tokens – in the laser.
The design is fully parametric and can be adapted directly in the Makerworld Parametric Model Maker in the web browser to different object sizes and shapes.

⚙️ Customizable Parameters

• Number of rows and columns
• Diameter of the round objects
• Size of the side recess for easy removal
• Diameter of the magnets inserted into the jig (for fixation on a metal surface)
•  Height of the magnets; determines the insertion depth of the magnet holes

🧩 Function

The jig allows for precise and repeatable positioning of multiple round workpieces simultaneously.
The objects lie stably in the precisely fitting recesses, while the integrated Finger Cutouts facilitate removal after the laser process.

The optional Magnet Mounts ensure secure fixation on metallic work surfaces, so the jig does not slip during the laser job.

Ideally suited for:

• Coasters made of cork, wood, acrylic, or metal
• Engraving blanks and round keychains
• Small batches with identical round objects

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings

• Material: PLA, PETG or ABS
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Infill: 10–20%
• Supports: Not required
• Orientation: Flat on the bottom

💡 Note

Due to the parametric structure, the model can be easily adapted to different object sizes, magnet diameters, or layouts.
In the Makerworld Parametric Model Maker, the parameters can be entered directly in the browser – then the adapted STL or 3FM model can be generated.
