Description

Here for you my version of the train scene from Spirited Away, one of my favourite Ghibli film!

In this model it might be a little tricky to remove the supports.

Chihiro neck is very fragile so you have to be very gentle when you remove the support.

The train also has some support that is not that easy to remove.

I added some 1mm thick acrylic glass (from the cheapest ikea frame) for the window glass.

Hope you enjoy!

This is absolutely incredible! Your clay and paint work is amazing! Also the accessories on the train "bar" is perfect (and i should've modeled it).

I matched it with a mirror base, which looks more like a reflection on the sea. Thank you for your model, which gives me more room for creation.

No matter what I do, I can not get the train section to print properly. The bars keep coming out destroyed. Supports do nothing. The other 2 pieces print flawlessly. I'm open to receiving feedback and support, and will change my rating if this gets figured out. EDIT: I think my printer was the problem. Reprinted with normal supports and it came out fine. Changed rating to 5 stars.

are you using support? Support is needed in the train. The bars are fragile but if you print with support you shouldn’t have any problem. you only have to be careful when you remove the support.

Yep, attempted with supports. I am happy to re-print and try anything you recommend. I can also chop up the train to isolate just the bars to run multiple tests.

Hey, so I spent the last 2 weeks trying to get this to print properly. I ended up covering it in normal supports which did the trick. I am starting to suspect that my printer is the problem, so I'd like to apologize, and I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. As a fellow creator, it always eats away at me when I lose a 5 star rating.

For some of my model (like this one) I print with 0.08 layer height. Sometimes I sand it with abrasive paper (in this particular case I didn't did it). The magic happen with the filler primer! I usually do 2 layer of filler primer.

Unfortunately I know the the support is a little tricky to remove especially on chihiro and the train... I hope you liked the model anyway!

I really love it But Chihiro attempted it seven or eight times and failed every time, unable to print the back of the head or hair 😭😭😭 Tried adjusting the supports and damaged the skin (I'm not a professional) 😭 Update: Success

Beautiful print that was only changed from the original by using my own support settings and adding the hangers designed by Henrymaaaa for the book nook. No issues with the print or the support removal

Very cute print. Had some issues with supports, tho, that added a lot to the clean up (they didn't release cleanly from the back of the train or either of the figures) . The supports on the right side of the train were a total mess--so the rails on that side are a little rough. The left side printed perfectly,, tho. Can't wait to paint it!
