Description

This is a custom-designed charging stand for the Philips MG5720 trimmer that does more than just hold your device. It features a unique lever-actuated mechanism that lets you hide or reveal the charging connector, helping you avoid one of the most common mistakes with charging docks: leaving the trimmer constantly plugged in, which can reduce battery lifespan over time.

With this dock, you only connect the charger when you need it – keeping your battery healthy and your workspace tidy.

The stand includes three snug compartments for your favourite trimmer attachments, so everything is always within reach.

Designed for easy 3D printing:

  • No supports needed
  • Clean overhangs and strong geometry
  • Tight tolerances tested with the original charger and attachments

Assembly guide included:

A PDF manual with clear assembly instructions is included in the files to make final setup simple and frustration-free.

For assembly you will nees:

  • M3X20 countersink screw 4x
  • 8mm untislippery silicone pad 4x

Built through real-world iteration:

From idea to final version – each prototype helped shape the stand into what it is now.

Included are both a multicolor version with a separate logo piece, and a single-color version for simpler prints.
For the multicolor version, use the "Split to parts" function in your slicer to assign different colors.

Print settings used for testing:

  • Printer: Bambu Lab P1S with AMS
  • Nozzle: 0.6 mm (0.4 mm will also work)
  • Layer height: 0.24 mm
  • Perimeters: 2
  • Infill: 15% gyroid
  • Material: PLA

All parts were tested for fit and function with this setup. Tolerances should be forgiving across most well-calibrated printers.

Inclued also STEP file for easy remixing to your needs!

I’m happy to hear any feedback, suggestions, or print results – feel free to share your thoughts or makes!
