Description
An art deco-inspired dimmable lamp with a ribbed shade.
With a mechanical iris dimming system built in, simply rotate the base to open or close the inner aperture – adjusting brightness without electronics.
Designed for ambient lighting and tactile interaction, the lamp is both functional and ornamental - a warm, minimalist centerpiece that feels alive in your hands.
WARNING Be very careful with the ‘fins’ at the bottom of the lamp when rotating the base as they will snap very easily. Hold underneath the base in one hand and the top in the other hand to avoid this happening.
Unfortunately I couldn't find a way for the design to work (and be clean) without adding some small supports, so there are some supports that will require removal from the fins around the bottom of the top part. These should come off cleanly with some pointy nosed pliers.
