Nova Bracelet daywalker

I enjoy learning and trying to make useful things for my kids

My daughter is dressing a Nova from Zombies 4 for halloween. The bracelet that came with the costume is a foam band with Velcro that just doesnt look good at all. 

I decided to give the picture to 3d in Makerlab a try.

It came out great! a couple of adjustments, split for easy sizing, removed a few extra bobs, and cut the gem to be separate. 

plate 3- IMPORTANT- this is a small slice of the smaller  part. I would print it and use to size it. Even with measuring, I needed to size it twice for my daughter, and this would have been a big help. it is a shorter print, so test it out and then correct with % all the other pieces except for the negative part of the gem. that can not go smaller and still fit the ring light.

Plate 1 is the bracelet in two parts that will need to be glued. Make sure to remove all of the support bits so the gem fit in nice. I went with two parts to keep all the edges nice. One print is possible, but would leave a lot  roughness on on end, and that was not what i wanted from a silk print. 

Plate 2 The gem is two parts as well. The body has a negative space for the ring led light. If you are not going to light it up you can delete the negative part for a more solid print. If you are doing the ring, remove the supports, put in the light and use a less permanent glue (like elmers) to hold it together for a bit.
