Camper Position 20° Angle Light Mount HELLA
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is a custom-designed replacement foot for the HELLA 2PG 357 012-021 position light (and similar models), used on my 1990 Fiat Ducato 280 Knaus Traveller 625 camper. The original base had become brittle from age and sun exposure, so I created and 3D-printed a stronger version.
The mount holds the lamp at approximately 20°, matching the slope of the camper’s alcove.
This updated model includes several improvements:
- Added groove for sealant to improve water resistance.
- Increased wall thickness for extra strength and durability.
Because this part is exposed to sunlight, PETG or ASA is recommended — PLA is not advised due to potential heat and UV degradation.
My printing details
- Material: Creality CR-PETG
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Layer height: 0.20 mm
- Print mode: Strength
- Print time: ~1.5 hours
- Supports: Yes — required inside the hollow section (between the light and the foot).
- Supports can be removed with a knife or other tool — use caution when doing so!
- There’s also a small support layer in the sealant groove that can be easily removed.
- Print orientation: Best printed with the camper side facing down.
- This reduces warping and ensures a smooth finish on the lamp side.
Fit & assembly
The lamp clicks securely onto the printed foot — the locking tabs inside the lamp hold it firmly in place.
I have printed and tested this model myself, and it fits perfectly.
If printed on a textured or structured build plate, you can lightly sand the camper side to make it extra flat.
For installation, apply sealant (e.g. Sikaflex 522) into the groove before mounting.
Ensure correct alignment of the screw holes with the camper, and avoid overtightening to prevent cracking.
WILL ADD MOUNTED PICS!
