Suitable for a 12 mm (1/2 inch) garden hose

How liquid transfer works:

  1. Priming: Immerse the intake head into the liquid to be transferred. By moving the head quickly up and down (shaking), the liquid is drawn through the head and the check valve into the hose.
  2. Suction Effect: The check valve prevents the liquid from flowing back. The inertia of the liquid ensures that the hose gradually fills.
  3. Siphon Effect: Once the liquid has overcome the highest point of the hose and flows into the lower container due to gravity, a vacuum is created that maintains the flow.
  4. Continuous Flow: The liquid now flows continuously as long as the intake head is below the liquid level in the upper container and the hose outlet is below the liquid level in the lower container.

Areas of Application:

  • Water Drainage: Emptying an aquarium, a pond, or a paddling pool.
  • Emergencies: Transferring liquids in emergencies when no pump is available.

Advantages

  • User-friendly: Handling is very simple and requires minimal effort.
  • No Power Supply: Neither electricity nor a battery is needed, making it ideal for outdoor use.
  • Safe: Since no mouth siphoning is required, contact with potentially dangerous liquids is avoided.
  • Versatile: Suitable for a variety of liquids, including fuels, water, and chemicals.
