Description

Ever rage-quit a game so hard your controller didn’t make it?
Yeah… me too.

That’s why I made this Breakaway Rage-Proof Controller — a 3D-printed, magnet-connected replica designed to come apart safely instead of breaking when thrown or dropped in frustration. Inspired by all those childhood Madden and Rocket League meltdowns, this model snaps together with 2x8 mm round magnets and PLA, using just a bit of super glue for assembly.

It’s not a functioning controller — it’s a stress-relief piece, desk decoration, or funny gamer gift that reminds you it’s okay to lose… just not your controller.

The pillow stand pictured is not my design — huge credit to @D4V3IG for their awesome Xbox Controller Pillow Stand. It makes the perfect display for this piece.

Build Info

  • Printed in PLA — but if your controller usually meets the wall mid-rage, you might want to try TPU for a little extra forgiveness.
  • Uses 28 2 × 8 mm round magnets
  • Super glue recommended for magnet installation
  • Designed to easily snap apart and reassemble
