Description

This is a fully functional, 3D-printable overhead conveyor system and it is a complete modular kit with a motorized drive, print-in-place chain, and modular tracks, allowing you to build any custom layout you can imagine. Perfect for factory playsets, cyberbrick sets, or just an amazing kinetic sculpture for your desk!

Updates:

27-10-2025: I added the chain as a separate profile, so it can use the optimal settings.

28-10-2025: Added a skilift by request of @ATTILATEO84

I would love to see the tracks and layouts you come up with, so dont hesitate to share them below!

Key features:

  • Fully Modular System: Combine straights, curves, and pillars to build any layout.
  • Motorized Drive: Includes a custom mount for a standard N20 gear motor.
  • Print-in-Place Chain: Very little assembly needed for the chain!
  • Multi-Level Capable: Designed to run up inclines, allowing for complex, multi-level tracks.
  • Engineered Curves: Track curves are mathematically calculated to match the chain links for perfectly smooth operation.
  • Full Assembly Guide: A detailed PDF manual is included to make building easy.

Printing and assembly

The parts in the 3mf file are all PLA. This will work fine, but PETG would be preferred for the sprocket.

Be very careful when removing supports from the chain, since its a very delicate part.

The only external part needed is an N20 motor, a power source and some glue. I have added the Makersupply parts for it in the model page.

A full, step-by-step PDF assembly guide is included in the 'Files' section for a detailed walkthrough for the rest of the assembly.

It is mainly important that all track pieces are well supported.

I designed this for the Makerworld conveyor contest. I wanted to create a system that was truly modular and could go beyond a simple flat loop. After many prototypes, I'm proud to share this final system, which can climb inclines and be built into any shape!
