Description:
3D model inspired by ancient Roman belt plates (cingulum militare) used on military belts.
The plate features a central domed relief with concentric rings and four corner holes for easy attachment to leather or other materials.
Its shape is based on archaeological finds and designed for accurate historical reproductions, re-enactment gear, or experimental archaeology.
Technical details:
- Total dimensions: 70 × 50 mm
- Total thickness: 2 mm
- Hole diameter: 4 mm
- Recommended material: PLA or PETG
- Layer height: 0.1 – 0.16 mm
- Infill: 90 % for maximum strength
- Recommended nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Supports: Not required
- Bed adhesion: Glue stick or textured sheet recommended
Usage:
The plate can be mounted on leather belts using rivets or screws, as shown in the photo.
It can be painted or metal-coated (for example, with brass-colored paint or metallic foil) to replicate the look of original bronze fittings found on Roman military belts.
