Microscopic Slide Boxes / 12 and 25 Slides

2 Boxes with lid for standard microscopic glass slides as used in histology and pathology.

The first model is designed for 12 slides. The second holds 25 slides.

Prints without support. PLA is good, as xylene based mounting media do not attack the material.

The hinges are designed with 2mm holes. The fitting is tight. Push a piece of 1.75mm filament through the hinges after assembly, leave ~3-4mm overlap on both ends, heat those ends carefully (!) with a lighter and push (compress) the softened plastic with a flat metal part (maybe a spoon) to lock it in place.

Use Arachne for wall generation, as on the top border of the lower part is a thin wall. If missing, the box will still be functional, but this thin wall locks both parts in place much better.
