Davy Jones Functional Crab Claw Halloween

Introducing Davy Jone's Fully Functional Crab Claw. Part 2 of the halloween costume.

Mechanical accessory that closes and reopens the claw using a lever thanks to rubber bands.

- ASSEMBLY GUIDE - 

Required parts: 8 uds screws (M3x20mm), 1 uds screw with thread and nut (M2,5x20mm), 6 elastic rubbers 

Print ''Body 1'', ''Body 2'', ‘’Adapter cover'' and ''Main Claw'' with your preferred filament. ''Adapter'' must be done with TPU, specifically 95A (which i test). ‘’Body holder'' and ‘’Motion Parts'' have been tested with PLA Basic, PETG can be used instead.

DO NOT MODIFY PRINTING SETTINGS, each setting has been established according to tests, changing them will cause failures

1- Attach ‘’Main Claw'' on ‘’Body 2'' axis. Hold the parts firmly during this process. Screw the moving parts to the Main Claw. Please note that the elastic band holder must be on the right (as seen in the photo) and have access to the inside of the claw, otherwise elastic bands may come loose during operation. (8 uds screws M3x20mm)

Once you have completed the previous step, place the lever on the left bracket, use the threaded screw to secure it (1uds screw M2,5x20mm). Join rubber bands (6uds) to the ‘’Body grip'', then test mechanism.

2-  Place the grip into holes. Tension will automatically secure it.

3- Connect ‘’Body 1'' with ‘’Body 2'' and glue it. Do NOT connect both parts without having assembled the claw mechanism.

4- Place the TPU ‘’adapter'' on the back of the Claw. Note the anchor points so the adapter doesn't move.

5- Place the ‘’adapter holder'' in front of the TPU ‘’adapter'', push it in and turn it to the right to secure it.

• Congratulations! You just have completed Davy Jones Crab Claw. Please, if your intention is to sail towards the horizon in a cursed ship, do it peacefully.
