Description

Shieldon #410:

“It was generated from a fossil dug out of a layer of clay that was older than anyone knows. It has a sturdy face.” ~Soul Silver Pokedex entry

On your first trip to the Sinnoh region, you stop by Canalave City. Byron (the local steel type gym leader) tells you about Sinnoh's underground, a vast network of caves where he liked to mine for diamonds, pearls, and fossils. You and your team waste no time getting down there to begin the search. By the second day, you reach a section of the tunnels with large clay deposits. Tired from mining bedrock the day before with no luck your team decides to dig through the easier clay. It's there that you find a round thick fossil followed by the rest of a skeleton. After traveling to the Oreburgh museum, you learn that the fossils you've just excavated belong to Shieldon. Shieldon was an ancient herbivore who's thick armor allowed it to live without many predators.

Shieldon is the next one in my Pokemon fossil puzzle series! This model has joints with tight enough tolerances so that no glue is be required for assembly. The trade off is that some of the pieces have a really tight fit (although it's still easier to assemble than the pop-socket units in my other models). To ensure the best fit, make sure to completely shave off any material left behind by the kit card connectors. Pieces will have different infill to balance the huge head in the front. As always, the model comes in a kit card form and a spare parts form (A1 Mini compatible spare parts print profile too) so if pieces are lost or broken you won't need to reprint the whole thing, and assembly instructions.

Happy printing(and building)!
