Description

I designed this flip-up tracker for my daughter to manage her morning routine. Print-in-place hinges make this a single piece. The flaps flip up with a satisfying magnetic stick to check off each task. We mounted it on the wall with some double-sided tape.

The slots are designed for 38 x 38 mm pictures (1.5 x 1.5 inches) which my wife found on Etsy. Any paper or print should work. A thin 3D-printed card could also work.

There are hexagonal cavities for 6 x 2 mm round/disk magnets and a pause in the print profile. (I tried hexagonal holes to snuggly fit the round magnets while still allowing some tolerance - it worked.) This version requires two magnets per flap, 12 magnets total. I am sure smaller magnets could also be used in the same cavities. Your mileage may vary and/or it may require some glue to keep them in place before they are printed over.

2025-11 Update: added a print profile for the 4 Task version (fits the A1 mini). Same modules, just 4 of them. :) Requires 8 magnets.

Thank you it turned out really well, 1-2 more layers over the magnet would not have been bad

Thank you for the rating and the feedback. It looks great! I tuned the bridging over the magnets to make it look better, but maybe it could be further improved. It is important to minimize the gap between magnets (fewer layers) to have a good hold.

May I ask where you got the pictures from, as they also fit our routine

Replying to @Bgrebing :
Sorry, I only saw it now, I found it on Google and then scaled it in Paint

Great model, big thanks for making this! :) Printed without a problem, I made a 5-task version (will share). One big gotcha: You need to insert the magnets with the right orientation! I forgot to do that first prints, so the magnets in the lids/checkmarks repulsed rather than attracted, and would not stay closed.

I didn't put the magnets in, but my son loves to carry it around in the morning and tell us when he's checked things off. Every toddler parent should have one!

I don't see the print profile for the 6-slots version. Is it still available?

Some printer types (X series) are filtering out that print profile. I am not sure why.

Hi @daniel.ulrich86 , I have added (or re-added) the 6-Task profile for X/P series printers. All the same settings, but with the X1C set in Bambu Studio when I exported. Now MakerWorld thinks it can be used for these printers. 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for reaching out so I could "fix" the issue.

Great idea, unfortunately the magnets are only partially well covered. Maybe one more layer
