🟠 GOKU – Basic Version (Proto9-Based)

Hey friends!

The basic version of Goku is finally complete!
I’ve had requests for it, but honestly—he was my favorite character growing up, so this one’s special to me.

Because of the baggy pants design, I wanted to improve the leg-folding mechanism, but for now, this is the best I could do.

Now that I’ve figured out how to handle characters with large pants, my next model will be Piccolo.
For a while, I’ll be focusing more on Dragon Ball characters than Avengers.

This project brought back so many memories—it was a joy to create!

🧩 Assembly Notes

If you’ve never printed or assembled Proto9, I highly recommend starting with that first.
Most parts are similar to Proto9, but the chest, forearms, and legs are different—so please watch the YouTube video before assembling!

🛠 Printing Tips

  • If you print using PLA, joints may loosen over time.
I uploaded a video showing how I fix that using nail polish—it worked great for me!My video includes subtitles, so feel free to check out other videos too.
  • Nail polish seems cheaper and more effective than other options
    (I haven’t searched for alternatives though—haha!)

🧱 Plate Guide

  • ORANGE_OR_RED: Most frame and armor parts
  • BLUE: Blue armor parts
  • YELLOW_OR_BLACK: Hair parts
  • SKIN: Skin-colored frame and armor parts
  • HEAD_AMS: Use only if you want to print the head using AMS

🖨 Print Info

  • Arranged using Bambu Studio’s default layout
  • If you’ve printed Proto9 before, this one should be easy to handle
  • Please—try Proto9 first before jumping into this one!

I hope you enjoy the model and have a great time building it.
Thanks again for all your support and feedback! 🙏
