Description
These simple side rails fit the late 2025 Luba 2X models with L-shaped orange side skirts, - not the early 2025 models, please see the photos.
The purpose of these rails is to prevent rods or twigs to be caught between the front wheel and Lubas orange side skirt.
The rails are mounted without screws or glue, -just kept in place between the tip of the orange skirt and the bumper.
First loosen the bumper, then mount rails on the orange skirts (turning front wheel a little to optimize clearance helps), then put bumper in place while steering the rails.
I have printed the rails in durable and strong PETG. As I like avoiding supports, each rail is printed in three separate parts that should be bonded together with Dichloromethane (DCM). When hardened, a DCM bond is extremely strong. DCM is very toxic!
The rails could also be printed in ABS or ASA and then bonding can be done with Acetone. Note that the three parts of a rail can hardly go together before the solvent has beeen applied to both surfaces.
If you don't like bonding, it might be possible to print a complete rail using suitable supports.
