Description
A full-scale replica of Hornet's head from Hollow Knight: Silksong (Wearable helmet).
Cosplay as Hornet from Silksong with this wearable helmet designed to replicate her in-game appearance as closely as possible!
- Mesh eye plates allow for partial visibility when worn
Eye plates are only attachable with super glue (they are flexible enough that pressing the thick perimeter of the plates up to the inner front face of the helmet will flush them to the surface well enough for instant super glue to secure them - a super glue that acts quickly with an accelerator spray is recommended for ease of assembly)
- Magnetically detachable horns utilize D4x2mm magnets, which can be purchased directly through Bambu's own Maker's Supply
- Quantity needed for full assembly: 32
- Magnets are completely optional, and were added strictly for clean alignment purposes - super glue can be used between the pieces to fully assemble
- Recesses for the magnets are designed to be a very tight friction fit - a magnetic hex-head driver is recommended to push the magnets into the 3D-printed parts
Additionally, 8-10 seconds of direct heat application from a heat gun can ease the process of press-fitting the magnets
- Magnets are completely optional, and were added strictly for clean alignment purposes - super glue can be used between the pieces to fully assemble
- Quantity needed for full assembly: 32
- Measures roughly 22 inches tall, 12 inches wide, and 8-½ inches deep
- Scaled to be wearable with the following head dimensions:
- 8 inch measurement from chin to top of head
- 23-inch head circumference
- Proper fit is highly dependent on head shape, as it is a very tight vertical fit, and may require some tricky head movement to fully seat properly depending on facial structure - it is recommended to measure key dimensions of your head and check against the model with the measure tool in Bambu Studio to determine whether this helmet will fit you personally at its current scale
- If you determine it is too small for your head, scale appropriately, or print strictly for display purposes
Please print at your own risk - negative reviews on the sole basis of ill-fitting conditions will be flagged/reported as necessary
- Currently scaled to print strictly in H2 series printers - other Bambu printers are compatible when an 83% scale is applied for all printed objects (which would require additional investigation regarding whether it can be worn as a helmet after scaling), with exception of the A1 mini, which is currently incompatible due to eye mesh scaling issues at the smaller volume limitations of that printer
