Description

Hey there, pilots!
Have you been out flying hard with your goggles on today? šŸ˜Ž

This time, I’ve designed a Gimbal Protector for the hot TX15 MAX!
Not sure why Radiomaster included it with the BOXER but suddenly stopped for this model—but I figured some of you might need one, so I went ahead and modeled it myself.

I designed it to print without supports, and the protector allows different modes depending on your stick end shape.
The inner hole is currently modeled at 10mm by default, but if you need a different size, feel free to leave a comment — I’ll be happy to add a version that fits your setup!

If you look at the side profile, you’ll see it’s designed to fit the transmitter as tightly as possible while still being printable without supports!

I added a latch on the neck strap hook to keep the gimbal protector securely in place, so it won’t come off easily.

Try printing it with your favorite bed pattern to give it a unique touch!

The inner part of the gimbal protector connects with a groove system, making it easy to swap out — so you can customize your gimbal protector in various colors!

As mentioned above, it’s interchangeable depending on your stick ends, so if you need a specific size, leave a comment and I’ll upload the file for you!

First, the S1 and S2 dials hold it in place, then the neck strap hook secures it even further. Finally, the cylindrical section, which matches the outer ring of the gimbal, fits snugly inside — giving it a tight, locked-in feel with no unwanted movement.

The gimbal protector is recommended to be printed in TPU 95A, while the inner part is best printed in PLA!
