Description

Created for my Halloween demon costume but you can use them in other witchy or creature cosplays. They slip right onto your fingers - no need of body glue or anything like that.

If you enjoy the project, consider boosting (it's free!). It gives me the possibility to create another models way faster - thank you!!  (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

See the video below to get a better idea of how they behave irl:

Resizing

These claws are a bit tricky to measure, since the ring part isn’t a perfect circle – it sits at an angle to the finger.
Still, as a reference, the index finger here has about 15 mm inner diameter at the opening.
So you can take a ring that fits your index finger and measure its inner diameter – then open the project, find the sizing cylinder, and scale it to match that value.

After that, scale the whole set proportionally to match your measurement.

For example, if your index finger size is about 18 mm, when resizing the cylinder, you will find that it needs to be resized to 120% of original value. Now you can select all the nails, and resize them by 120%.

Creator thoughts

Real proportions of the fingers can be quite specific, because every hand is a little different. The set you see in the project is my personal sizing. I started modeling it from my pinky finger, which we can treat as the 100% size here, and the rest are scaled as follows:

  • Pinky: 100%
  • Ring: 110%
  • Middle: 114%
  • Index: 115%
  • Thumb: 141%

As you can see, the sizing is not that obvious - so if after resizing the whole set some of the nails do not fit perfectly, feel free to readjust and reprint individual pieces separately.
