Diesel Locomotive T679.0 ČSD (Orange) H0

The locomotives were developed together with the T 678.0 series for freight trains and were largely identical. Unlike the T 678.0 series, however, they were equipped with a steam generator for use in passenger transport. Initially, six Wapor-Heating generators from the Federal Republic of Germany were installed, but the domestic PG 500 soon began to be used. The fuel tank capacity was reduced from 6,000 l to 3,500 l, which created space for a water tank. Starting with the T 679.003 locomotive, the power was reduced to 1,325 kW (1,800 hp).
