Anti-surface tension capillary wave

Drainage aid for smooth floors with open joints.

The shape helps to drain tiles or other smooth floors across the joint.

For this purpose, the surface tension of the water is broken by submerging the small ridges into the water. Through the narrow channel between the tile and the part itself, the water is “sucked” into the joint with the help of capillary forces.

The process works amazingly well!

The height can be easily adjusted to the tile thickness in Bambu Studio.

4 strips are always printed at once, which can simply be separated with a utility knife after printing and can also be shortened as desired. This was the only way to get rid of the seam in the product and achieve good print quality!

Due to the flexibility of the PET-G, the strips adapt easily to the joint width.

The strips thus ensure that less water remains on the floor, and they therefore dry significantly (!) faster.

Unfortunately, with tiles that are subject to strong movement when stepped on, the strips sometimes slide out of the joint upwards. As soon as I have fixed the problem, I will provide an update.
