Avatar 3 - Fire and Ash are coming!

I made this bio-warship model based on the information released in the official trailer.

The Na'vi of Pandora are still in the cold weapon era, relying almost entirely on bows, arrows, and spears during conflicts, as well as controlling animals to cause damage to enemies and equipment. Therefore, the ships do not have the appearance of hot weapons. The invasion of the Ash People has made these ships a part of the war.

Actually, I didn't know much about these ships before the movie was released. These huge, jellyfish-shaped creatures are filled with flammable gas similar to hydrogen, which can be ignited and explode. The basket underneath is a fixture, and from the movie trailer, it seems to require another creature to pull it to move. The “jellyfish” also drag nerve clusters behind them, like all animals on Pandora, and should be controllable by the Na'vi.

Based on my understanding, I reorganized the printing colors, making the overall color selection preferably greater than 90 degrees on the color wheel to create a certain visual impact. I also installed lights from Maker's Supply in the middle of the “jellyfish” and the base to make the entire model dazzling, suitable for daily use as a decorative lamp.

Based on the characteristics of FDM, I optimized some small parts to suit fused deposition printing. Since the shrinkage rates vary for different materials, manufacturers, and colors, if the connecting pins cannot be inserted, please fine-tune them yourself or trim them with tools. Printing this implies that you understand and accept the quality of products printed with the FDM method.

The finished model is approximately 40cm high x 30cm long x 20cm wide. The lamp holder under the bracket is compatible with kc012 and ck013. A smaller magnetic light can also be chosen, though its brightness might be slightly insufficient. The “jellyfish lamp” is compatible with mh001.
