With my latest Modelkit you can relive the early 1900's in the German navy. This Model kit is my most complex yet consisting of 400 printed parts (130 individual parts). This kit was built as a mashup of all four ships of this class since I needed all of the few available historic fotos for some details. The kit therefore includes nameplaques for allfour ships of the class and the respective year of construction.
Helgoland 1909, Ostfriesland 1909, Thüringen 1909, Oldenburg 1910. This kit can be printed on any Printer with a build volume of 200x200x230mm or more. DISCLAIMER: Use a CLEAN Buildplate. Failures may occour if your plate is not clean, especially when you print filigrane parts like anchor chains, ropes railings and cables.
Some facts on the Model:
- 110cm length over all.
- 195mm width.
- 2.8Kg of filament
- 7kg max weight.
- 3 Type 550 motors
- 6 moveable turrets with automatic elevation
- 1:150 scale.
- Fine details like individual deck planks, ropes, railings and cables.
- Hull can be built separable in two halves.
- Deck openings have printable TPU or bought Foamrubbertape seals

A complete Bill Of Materials is atteched in the documents page, the MakerWorld Bill of material is NOT EXTENSIVE since Bambulab does not offer all needed parts. If you buy some parts listed in the MakerWorld BOM you don't need to buy them from my PDF BOM. If you Buy from MakerWorld you support my work through MakerWorld incentives where I get a commission, I greatly appreciate that, Thank you :)
To help you build the model I recorded extensive build a long videos (7 hours!) that you can find on youtube. Part 1 Part 2
There will also be a written and illustrated assembly manual available on this page. I should have it done by the first week of November.
Take a look at the model on the water in all its glory.
