Description

Apothecary type jars and lids for the Halloween season - or just for a fun display if you like your decor on the creepy side.  These are a series of individually printable miniature urn type apothecary jars with the labels sculpted into the surface, and several lid options.  I call this the Macbeth collection because these are all potion ingredients from the witches scene in William Shakespeare's Macbeth.  You know the one - “Boil, boil, toil and trouble…”

Ingredients included in the Macbeth Collection:

  • Eye of Newt
  • Toe of Frog
  • Wool of Bat
  • Tongue of Dog
  • Fillet of Snake
  • Fork of Adder
  • Leg of Lizard
  • Scale of Dragon
  • Sting of Blindworm
  • Tooth of Wolf
  • Wing of Owlet
  • Maw of Shark
  • Blank jars in you want no labels, or to apply your own

Lids Included:

  • Newt
  • Frog
  • Bat
  • Spider
  • Snake
  • Ball top
  • Oval Top
  • Oval Faceted Top
  • Blank dome in case you want to add your own topper

These are quick easy prints:

  • The jars need no supports or brims and in standard mode with PLA they print in a little over an hour each.  They print acceptably well in sport mode with a few areas of slight banding but these didn't bother me.
  • The lids all require supports around the lower rim.  Some also require supports for thin parts but most don't require other supports.  I block supports inside the lid dome.  They print well with just a little rough stringing right at the inside top but that also doesn't bother me.
  • Everyone has their support preferences but I like to tweak the Top and Bottom Z distances = .35 and Support/object xy distance = .65.  These provide adequate if not perfect support but they are much easier to remove - for me…
