Haslab Afterlife Proton pack Ion arm cover (bolts)
Print Profile(1)

Description
Haslab replacement Ion arm cover, with faux hex bolts.
One thing I don't like about the stock Haslab pack is the weird smooth ion arm cover. This replacement cover re-uses the existing metal rod, back part, and even the screws from the stock ion arm.

Printing
This prints face down, I did test printing upwards with supports and ironing, but the gains of it was not worth the time or hassle of the print.
I would recommend you print this on a matte finish plate, with limited texture. I personally used the Gyrogrip Pro Glacier, then just gave it a small blast of blue flame.
Filament: I've tested with both standard Bambu lab black PLA and Bambu lab PETG HF. prints great with both, choose whichever you need based on the location you are in and how hot it's likely to get!
Assembly
Once printed and removed from the plate, we can now assemble. Your first step, is to remove the ion arm from your pack, unscrew the two screws and put the front cover somewhere safe. You will need the metal arm, back plate and screws.
Start by placing the arm in the new cover like so

Now, you will need to place the back plate on, being careful that the notch at the top of the back plate is at the top (as pictured below). It's worth noting here, that the back plate only fits on one way, so if things don't line up, you'll need to take the metal arm out, rotate the cover and put back together and reassemble.

Once in place, it's time to screw it together. Take care in doing this to not screw too far down, otherwise you can damage the front of the cover!

Done!

You are now ready to put it in place, it's a push fit just like the original. Happy busting!
