9.4-in wide x 5 or 6-in-Tall PIP Case with Handle

9.4-inch-wide case with handle. Great to use for a Gift Box or Storage.
I have printed these in Bumbu filaments PLA, PETg HF, and ABS. (pics: ABS aqua blue & white. PLA Matte dark green & Basic Black.)
This is a large part, so be sure your printing plate is clean, DRY, and apply glue.
Basic Print settings:
2 loops, 15% infill, no support.
Size: 9.5 x 5-inch version
Size: 9.5 x 6-inch version
Features:
- PIP
- Handle
- 2 Snap Latches.
- Upper Tray, 1-inch deep.
- Can be scaled to down to 80%. Uses about half the filament as full scale. The hinges and clasp are tighter but will loosen with use. (Most of my prototypes were printed this way.)
- Text is customizable in Bambu Studio. Just double click on the text to edit.
After Printing and the case has cooled:
Latches may be tight to snap in for the first few times. You can close and open several times to loosen them up.
- Each of the boxes has a small bit of material connecting the lid and base during the print process. The Lid and Handle also have a small bit of material connecting them together. This helps to stabilize the assembly, making sure the hinges print good. These breaks lose when you flip the lid closed for the first. Use a scraper, blade, or fingernail to remove them.
