Description
This hybrid figure combines 3D-printed PLA and laser-cut wood elements to form a layered, dimensional representation of Kael — the calm and tactical leader of the mutant fighters. The model was sculpted in Nomad, printed in multiple parts on the H2D printer, and assembled using press-fit and adhesive joints for stability and precision.
Kael’s body, head, and sword are multi-part PLA prints, designed to capture fine detail and curvature. The laser-cut wooden base and canopy structure provide a sense of elevation, symbolizing Kael’s strategic awareness and connection to the treetops.
The build demonstrates how digital sculpting and hybrid fabrication can merge organic 3D modeling with precise laser-cut geometry, resulting in a collectible figure that bridges storytelling, craftsmanship, and digital design.
