🧩 Summary

A clean, parametric organizer for nail polish or small paint bottles — optimized for speed, strength, and zero supports. Designed in Fusion 360 with a fully parametric layout, so you can easily adjust the .F3D file with the number of rows or columns that fit your needs. Perfect for neatly organizing paints, nail polish, varnish, or other small bottles.

📝 Description

This is my first 3D model, and I’m really proud of how it came together.
I designed it entirely in Fusion 360, starting from a simple goal:

Create a strong, quick-to-print, and filament-efficient stand that can hold at least 6 paints per row, with 4 rows total.

💡 Design concept

The model is built around a 7° tilt — every shelf is inclined backward so the bottles naturally slide toward the wall (see .gif), keeping them stable and neatly aligned.
Because the design is parametric, that 7° angle drives the entire structure: when you adjust the angle, number of rows, or columns, the rest of the geometry updates automatically.

This makes it easy to remix the stand for different bottle sizes or capacities.

🧱 Structure and efficiency

I used a combination of fillets and chamfers throughout the model to balance:

  • Structural strength
  • Reduced filament use
  • Faster printing

Those rounded transitions also minimize stress points, improving durability and surface finish.

🛠️ Printing details

The print profile was tuned for speed and rigidity:

  • Prints without supports — all angles tested for clean PLA overhangs
  • Base layers use lower fan speed to prevent corner warping
  • Carefully chosen wall count, infill pattern, and density for maximum strength
  • Ideal for textured PEI plates on the Bambu Lab P1S

❤️ Why I made it

The idea came when my girlfriend had dozens of paints stored in boxes.
She couldn’t easily see or reach each color, and nothing online fit the balance between speed, strength, and simplicity.
So, I decided to create my own for her — something that’s:

  • Quick to print
  • Efficient with filament
  • Strong enough for daily use
  • And actually looks good on a desk or shelf

🧾 Tested print settings

  • Printer: Bambu Lab P1S
  • Material: Bambu Lab PLA Matte
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 5 % (3D Honeycomb)
  • Perimeters: 3 walls
  • Supports: None
  • Cooling: 21% for first 30 layers → 100 % afterwards
  • Orientation: Flat base on bed with overhangs pointing to the fan
