Description

🌀 TractionBoost Ring V2

(Designed for Mammotion Yuka Mini)

I’m really excited to introduce the TractionBoost Ring V2 —the improved evolution of my previous V1 model, originally designed to enhance traction and performance for the Mammotion Yuka Mini robotic mower.

This new version continues the same idea but takes it further: it’s stronger, smoother, and perfectly adapted to deliver better grip, higher durability, and a more stable ride on grass.

Its geometry has been carefully refined to blend seamlessly with the Yuka Mini’s original design, following the same visual flow of the wheel.
That makes it look like a factory-integrated part, not just an external accessory.

The reinforced structure and wider contact surface help the robot maintain stable traction —even when crossing stone or tiled paths between grass zones.

It reduces wheel slip, prevents turf marks, and improves overall mobility.

Another advantage is that it requires no screws, glue, or tools.
Its snap-fit mechanism allows for quick, precise, and secure installation, and it’s equally easy to remove when needed.

Important note:
The TractionBoost Ring V2 does not interfere with the charging base, sensors, or infrared signals —your Yuka Mini docks and charges perfectly as usual.

🔧 Installation recommendations

  1. Clean the tires thoroughly before installation.
Make sure there’s no grass, dirt, or moisture on the tire surface.
A clean tire ensures proper fit and long-lasting grip.
You can use a large brush or a dry cloth for this.
  2. Check the orientation of the ring before installation.
The traction blocks should face outward.

  3. Align the TractionBoost Ring V2 with the outer edge of the original Yuka Mini tire.
  4. Press evenly and gradually until the ring is fully seated, making contact with the second row of tread blocks on the original tire.

  5. Avoid using excessive force, to protect both your hands and the mower’s chassis or motor.
  6. After several mowing sessions, it’s a good idea to check that the rings remain properly seated.
In case one side has slightly moved outward, simply press it gently back into position.
This is normal and may occur only after many hours of use.
  7. Double-check that the ring is securely in place before starting the robot.

🍂 Usage tips

When mowing in leafy or wet conditions, some material might accumulate between the traction blocks.

For best performance, try to keep the area clean, or clean the wheels occasionally after mowing on wet or leaf-covered lawns.

🧱 Recommended material

For outdoor use, the best option is Bambu Lab ASA Carbon Fiber (ASA-CF) or similar ASA-CF filament.
It offers excellent resistance to sunlight, humidity, and weather exposure, ensuring long-term performance.

If ASA-CF isn’t available, PETG-CF or PETG is also suitable, though PETG may absorb moisture over time and gradually lose strength under constant outdoor conditions.

⚙️ Suggested print settings

  • Material: ASA-CF or PETG-CF
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 30–40 % (Grid or Gyroid)
  • Walls: 4 or more
  • Nozzle temperature:
    • ASA-CF → 260 – 270 °C
    • PETG-CF → 240 – 250 °C
  • Bed temperature:
    • ASA-CF → 100 °C
    • PETG-CF → 80 °C
  • Cooling:
    • ASA-CF → Off or max. 15 % (for stronger layer adhesion)
    • PETG-CF → Up to 25–30 % (for cleaner surfaces)

Key features

  • Designed exclusively for Mammotion Yuka Mini.
  • Seamless integration —looks like part of the robot.
  • No interference with charging base or sensors.
  • Stronger, wider, and more durable than V1.
  • Enhanced traction and lawn protection.
  • Tool-free installation with easy snap-fit.
  • Weather-resistant for long-term outdoor use.
