Turnbuckle protector - Sailboat shroud protection
Print Profile(1)

Description
After the old protectors on my sailboat had gotten old, it was time to design my own. The flared foot area is wide enough to accommodate the boat-side mounting bracket, and the tube offers enough space for the tensioning device.
The foot is angled to sit flush on the deck. The cap has a side slot to allow the shroud to be inserted. I chose the opening a bit smaller so that the protector clamps. This allows me to push the protector up and it stays in position, and it also doesn't rattle when it's down.
Maybe it's something for you too.
PS: I will soon be uploading my model for a drink holder that can be attached to the mainsheet track / genoa track.
