Modular Magnetic Vertical Press

The MODULAR MAGNETIC VERTICAL PRESS.

There is an “Attachment Prefab.STEP” file in the downloads available to get going.

Different usage combinations possible:

• Standalone, just use a single 2020 V-Slot (Nut6) profile and print the toolhead + attachments
• Counterweight, use a 2040 V-Slot with the GT2 belt and counterweight

Due to the nature and flexibility of aluminum extrusions different base mounting options are possible. You can use simple angles or baseplates. Feel free to experiment.

I used an old 2040 aluminum extrusion with v-profile that I had left over from an old 3D printer (around 500mm length) for the vertical beam:
