Description

When looking for a paint mixer, I unfortunately couldn't find any that fit the new “flip” cap style of Green Stuff World.
While I could have just remixed one of the existing models, I decided to design one from scratch with the following design criteria:

  • Easy To Print, No Supports
  • Universal fit for 17/18ml paint bottles (Flip top and old style)
  • Drill Mounted
  • Off-Center Bottle Mount (Better Mixing)

I think I achived that with my current design, but will welcome any suggestions to improve it.
It's designed fully in Alibre Atom3D, and can quickly be modified.

To assemble you only need these additional parts:

  • M4 Button Head Screw (>20mm)
  • M4 Flat Washer
  • M4 Nuts (3-4 for best grip in drill chuck)
  • Velcro Strap, rubber band or similar

Mount the mixer in your drill, and simply run it for a few seconds.

I used it for 20seconds alternating drill directions and orientation slightly and could get the following results on my Metalic paint that was clearly seperated:

As you can see, the paint is mixed nice and evenly, allow you to better paint your miniatures.
Thanks to it's improved viscosity, color and texture!
